My friend used to tell me that unlike others who can miss the forest for the trees, I miss the trees for the forest. And it's true.. cause I struggle to work with detail without seeing the big picture. I need to be able to see the big picture but colouring in the details.

NTs seem to be able to work with details without needing the big picture right away. Meanwhile, I always have a slower start cause the pieces need to click. NTs explain as they understand so they give details first, which is like trying to colour without seeing the lines.
Knowing the overall picture helps with a bunch of stuff like: Motivation. If I know why I'm doing something, I find it easier to do. Memory. Remembering/ recalling random pieces of information is hard. Knowing the overall picture helps associate it all together.
